I love this game, gen 4 is my favourite and it's the gen I grew up with but my god is the start of the game so slow and boring.
All it is is just dialogue after dialogue, I just want to play the game goddammit, no wonder the rival is so impatient.
I guess it would be fine if it's the first time playing the game and I don't know what happens in the story but I've played this game countless times and I know exactly what happens and the dialogue is not interesting or funny in the slightest most of the time and you can't skip it.
It takes me over half an hour just to get to Jubilife city and because I'm an RPG gamer, I always have to speak to every NPC in case they give me an item or not.
