Treeko in RSE is pretty shit.
While Mudkip and Torchic Chad's get moves at level 16 that take advantage of their new found dual typing and cover a weakness they have, mono type treeko gets fucking fury cutter.

I could wait until level 29 to get leaf blade, but I could also just use a better grass type instead; Hoenn has a few.

charmander is stuck with ember as its only stab until after blaine and is weak to all the gyms anyway

The ONLY Pokemon in Erika's gym that can damage Bulbasaur is Erika's Tangela. EVERY other Pokemon will just spam poisonpowder at it, oblivious to the fact that Bulbasaur is immune to it.
