Nta but yeah that does contradict exactly what was said -- Nidoking has NOT been exclusively UU. As for the greater point being made, being in UU alone isn't shitmon tier status, and being OU viable is definitively not a shitmon, no matter how far you attempt to reach to say otherwise.

Its defensive typing was bad in earlier gens (in fact, it alone is why its mediocre in Gen 1, as it would otherwise be decent), but its something of a boon in later gens, as it deals with Fairy, Electric, Fighting, which are all important targets in later metas.

Yes. Some pokemon got screwed by their 3d models. The other issue is that they made the colors loom washed out for majority of them.
