A regional form *could* fix that, but I haven't seen very many regional Rillaboom concepts that make me thing "Wow, that's super cool, I need to get one!"
Pic rel giving it Steel is nice (I really want a Grass/Steel starter with speed to buck the traditional slowness), but again the design isn't phenomenal.

Mainly just because of how close they are geographically, as well as how similar their environments are.
I know Sinnoh and Johto are somewhat close, and we got H-Typhlosion, but at least the climate and environments between the two are very different from each other.
Personally I'm thinking:
