Literally all of these games are already included in the current ecosystem.
You can transfer a Pokemon from RSE to SV today if you want.
This used to not be the case for gen 1 and 2 but those have been added to the 3DS eshop with compatibility with current gen games as well.
There's really no excuse.

I think the best part would be to finally have legal gen 2-3 transfers.

They did the work to adapt gen 1-2 mons for gen 7 originally so I don't see why they can't work things out to make every gen fully compatible with Home at this point.

NSO isn’t everything wrong with Nutendo, but it’s a big part of the problem. It’s all about charging the userbase for nothing in return, all the while creating false scarcity on old games that they can then use to market half-assed remakes that have no business existing or wasting dev resources.

As a long-time tendie who doesn’t enjoy most JRPGs, it’s hard to not be annoyed by how padded the Switch’s library is by ports and remakes. Also annoying, they don’t put any fucking effort into games that would otherwise be good padding (see: Mario Party). There *might* be five first party games I consider worth playing on this hunk of junk.

I'd say this might be the one good year to do it while spreading out the releases through the year (though putting out R/B, G/S and R/S in the first month) just so that there isn't a game released this year with a minor game in 2025 and Gen X in 2026. It's an easy out for them to put out something people want while having the first "break year" since 2015 to give some dev time they desperately need.

It actually would be very simple as there are a ton of bogus/unused text entries for valid met locations in the game, they could just edit the "obtained in a lovely place" one that Box has and change it to "obtained from HOME" in the ROM
I don't see them implementing Bottle Cap perfect stats but I do not see why they could make sure that hack detection doesn't go off for naturally high IV Pokemon.

They will be the only services remaining after the April 3DS wifi shutdown. No idea how people started this shitty rumour.

You'd have to be very naive to believe Bank/Transporter will be an eternal service, it will have to sunset one day like the other 3DS/WiiU services. I'm not saying I like this bullshit of closing servers and services because some shareholder won't be able to buy a new yacht this year but it is inevitable. If anything the last HOME prisoners could be a warning of when will it happen. Once those are available in a Switch (or Switch 2) game then you can bet your ass they will announce the shutdown sooner than later

They won't care. iirc some anon in this board found that HOME mobile app has been hiding achivements related to Pokemons from VC games for example. They will just sweep those under the rug, nothing from older games is necessary for the new games. Prime example? The sanitization/standarization of move sets from Gen 8 forwards. Many event mons or event moves are not legal, what use is there porting something from those older gens then? Also, GO is another source of Pokemons, it has some holes due drip feeding Nat Dex but Gen 1 to 7 are mostly complete

Irrelevant, they didn't stay their hands with Dexit and they won't touch their hearts either to kill that support on a blink. A new HOME user in 2024 can register for their National Dex all non-mythics (and some mythics) just by using Switch games and investing in their own GO account without ever needing to use Bank with the only exception being Spinda.

I'm sure they will add a reminder about April and Bank this upcoming Presents but wouldn't put it past them if they also stealthly added a shutdown deadline since they will have everyone's attention during said Presents or if they post it in their JP website first. Again, I'm not in favor of it and have a HOME sub but already made my mental peace regarding Bank living on borrowed time no matter how long it lasts

It's not, it's used a lot for competitive pokemon battles too because older games can be better to breed better pokemon. As was found out in the last pokemon championships. Most people had pre switch pokemon.
There are still a few pokemon that also have been in a pokemon game since Sun and Moon.
They'd be pissing on the competitive community too.

I feel like if that was the plan they would have done it already to get the money. More likely that Nintendo is keeping them in reserve to drip feed releases so they can get the most out of people renewing their subscriptions. It's the same tactic they've been doing with every other game on the service but they know these are worth a lot more.
