Pokemon is not the only thing i collect and im 100% sure that nobody will care about vintage cards 20 years later.
Because nobody will have any attachements to those.
For example from other collecting hobbies im in:
1) Comicbook collecting is DEAD because the only people who collect and grade comicbooks are very old literal boomers (not boomers in 4chan meme version) that are soon will be around 65-70 years old. So old expensive comics have meaning to them still.
While nobody else cares about comics.
Like...for example when was last time you cared about reading paper Marvel/DC comicbooks? Do you see kids reading them?
2) Vintage Toys. This is more my current field. And the ONLY people who care about toy investments/grading are 4chan term boomers of my age (35-40y/olds). While zoomers/kids dont give a shit about toys.
They wont care about Ghostbusters, they dont even know about He-Man and etc.etc.
So toys being graded and sold only within small boomer cirlces which sounds like a huge circlejerk.
Don't be a dumbass - dont buy vintage cards. Those are le "90s KIDS :D" nostalgia that is basically dead. Just open youtube and see what type of people are interested in that?
