Again, you're being a complete retard if you think any of these are less popular than like, half the Unova or Kalos dexes which are routinely excluded from any gimmicks like this while Kanto consistently gets the most representation.
The idea that "regional variants are for the shit mons and generation gimmicks are for the shillmons" is fucking laughable when Meowth got both a regional and a G-Max in Gen 8 and in the same gen the only non-Kanto or Galar mon to get a G-Max was fucking Garbodor. Guess Gens 2-7 just don't have any other shillmons huh?

In what world are Pokemon like Ninetales, Sandshrew, Rapidash and the legendary birds unpopular?
Why would Game Freak scramble to fix those designs instead of shit like the lake trio or Exploud which most people probably wouldn't even recognize as a Pokemon if you showed it to them?
Regional forms are a way to recapitalize on the fame and notoriety of certain Pokemon, not an attempt to "fix" them.

Well no, BB imports its mons. If they were extinct and their lineage died out earlier, how would BB get access to them? They still exist somewhere. Also, how would Kleavor be extinct as an item evo? You literally see Black Augurite where it spawns in the Terrarium, but GF just happened to be lazy and not program in the item. That doesn't mean they're canonically extinct.
