Pokemon being their most successful franchise doesn't mean they aren't allowed to make other games. Game Freak made puzzle games and platformers long before Pokemon was ever a thing

From what I heard, Pocket Card Jockey was actually pretty good compared to most of GF's non-Pokémon titles.

for a smaller company like gamefreak, 20 years is a lifetime both for the company itself (very different set of employees) and its audience. OP's assertion is right, "nobody give a shit about what they make if it dosen’t have the pokemon logo on the box" and the fact they released pulseman for the mega drive in 1994 doesn't change the reality in 2024

So they had another game in development besides whatever Pand Land is? So Game Freak has been spreading themsevles out between Pocket Card Jockey, SV DLC, Gen 10, possibly whatever Pokemon game comes out this year if they didn't pass it over to ILCA, and their unannounced game Pand Land.

If Gamefreak is going to keep half assing pokemon while they clearly want to make other games then maybe they should sell the remaining rights to Nintendo and the pokemon company in exchange for a royalty cut

Source? They never released any sales numbers and it was made by their A team which supposedly is bigger than their B team(pokemon team).

Nintendo doesn't fucking want Pokemon because they don't have the resources to operate a franchise this large.

That's exactly why ownership is split three-ways between Nintendo, Creatures, and GF, and The Pokemon Company was created to manage Pokemon. None of three companies alone are big enough to manage a franchise of this magnitude.

Giga Wrecker was part of Gear Project with HarmoKnight, Pocket Jockey, and Tembo. Gear was intended to create something that would go on to become an established IP, and Pocket Jockey getting a remaster is the closest they've come.
