Let's level the playing field okay? Imagine if SV don't have DLC just like XY. You won't even going to know that it exists. At least Zygarde is in the main games, waiting to react but never got a chance to do so because the protagonists dealt with Leandro first.

I would compare it more to the previous Mythical stories, like that ugly horseback riding cretin.
Better, but the mystery surrounding Terapagos in the main game was definitely cooler than actually playing its story.

They'd have included Terapagos in the base game then as a secret encounter after "The Way Home". Unlike XY, they planed the Gen to tell the story across game+DLC. If they'd decided different, they'd have ensured to add the wee cunt to the game anyway. The raid and battle gimmick was all due to it in the first place.

It’s funny because the DLC barely relates to the main story at all. The only connection to the climax of SV’s story is in an optional cutscene.

No. Terapagos is tied to the lore of base game, it gave rise to terastalisation, the tera raid phenomenon and the Tera Orb creation - just like 3rd legendaries from Gen 7 and 8, both of which were the cause of their Gen's gimmick.
