Is it legal to use beta designs for your own game? They aren't copyrighted are they?
Even with tiny alterations? I love a lot of the designs but if Gamefreak isn't using them..

go ahead and use them, if you have to rely on copying shitty sloppy seconds designs that even the creators realized were too shit to use your game isn't going to get far anyway.

Is it leghaöl to use this design for my game?
There shouldn't be any copyright on this thing.
I don't really have any plans, but if I ever make a game, it could be useful.

Fan art is a little iffy
It's not technically copyrighted i dont think, but it's an individuals design, so its a bit of bad faith. Though I'm sure if you somehow found the creator and asked I dont think they'd be super opposed

If you intend to put it on a game you'll profit from,then you have to talk the owner of Faunazon about it. Regardless of it being a fakemon or not, that's someone's OC so there's copyright involved.

Nigga, Palworld clearly showed that GF can't do shit against copying an artstyle, nor against anything that's a mishmash of at least 3 other monsters.
As long as you draw/model it yourself instead of tracing, change the colors and some proportions, and maybe add a stripe or fin, they will only be able to seethe about not having used it themselves when they had the possibility.
