It's almost as if opinions can change over time.
Just like how XY was considered to be "good" simply because you could use Pikachu and Charizard, at the cost of turning the region into French Kanto. It only took people a few years to realize that maybe XY weren't that great, but hey, better late than never.

So I assume you think Platinum is a bad game too because it’s just north Kanto, right? Your standards are consistent and you’re not just a zoomer who’s assblasted Charizard got more attention than your first starter, right?

At least Sinnoh's starters stay relevant through the game. XY gives you a KANTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO starter immediately after the first gym. And your first encounter is a Pidgey instead of Fletchling. And there's a carbon copy of a Japanese forest in France for some reason. And there's a Snorlax blocking the road. And you get a free Lapras. And the 6th gym is a teleport puzzle just like Sabrina's was. And the place that makes Poké Balls is also in the city with the 6th gym. And the evil team hideout uses spin tiles all over the place. And there's a Mewtwo chilling in Kalos, except it doesn't even have a dungeon to go through.

So I assume you think Platinum is worse because 90% of the game is Geodude, Zubat, Machop, and Psyduck encounters right? And because Professor Oak becomes more relevant than Professor Rowan right?
