You weren't born with the strength to influence the world so you need to convince others of your worldview, but that's not how it works, average people don't care and don't even have what it takes to fight for a higher cause, unless they're reined in by someone more capable, and that someone doesn't need others' agreement.
Successful rulers and warriors never cared about morality. Morality is only born out of the desire for retribution from those on the losing side, eventually with enough insight, you might realize this.
