Because they sold them at 12's when they put them up on VC last time. That's why they're doing Let's Go versions now. To make the past Gen games without any nasty gambling houses so they CAN actually put the files up for sale in the future.

Yeah, the law at the time said 12's was the age limit. The laws changed, both PEGI AND ESRB count gambling as warranting an 18's rating.
Now aside from the other elephant in the room of ALL of Gen 1 VC games only selling 1.5m total (SM sold 16m+ in tghe same launch year), what makes you think they'd try again, but having to sell them ONLY at adults? Fucking rope yourself, you retard cunt.

The 18 rule doesn't apply to rereleases.

There's no way TPCi would allow that. I'd expect 3 different full price sets:
Gen 1 + Pokemon Stadium
Gen 2 + Pokemon Stadium 2
Gen 3
NSO versions of Stadium won't be able to connect to the GB/C games. Hell, gen 1 games probably won't be able to connect to Stadium 1 because it's a different package.
Also Japan will get Green in their gen 1 package while we don't along with both their Stadium 1 & 2 with GS being the gen 2 version. US only gets US versions.

GameFreak wouldn't give a shit to do it, and TPCi wouldn't budget in the necessary time/money to pay people to figure it out if handing off development of the port/collection to another party.
Ultimately you'd need to make some application for Transfer Pack emulation to set the game for each cartridge, and select what account's save is going to be used which requires some consideration. Especially given they need to make it incredibly easy to understand how to make it work for the target audience of 7 year old kids.
Next lets look at the complications of using that with online/local multiplayer where the opposing player has a different Transfer Pack set up with their own saves and issues with synchronizing them. When everyone only needs rentals simply indicating who is P1 and P2 is trivial and no special considerations need to be made.

I'm retarded so maybe I don't understand how the originals worked but couldn't they just have the emulator for Stadium point to wherever the Switch saves NSO savegames and pull the RBY/GSC save? ie just have what the original game looks for the transfer pak look for a file in the NSO directory instead?
