Even then, if he did just call himself a "journalist" then why doesn't he start covering things that aren't Pokemon if he's such a good fucking journalist. Don't cover shit in communities and for those communities when you like to pretend you aren't a part of that community and don't like that community. It's not gonna happen, because he's basically lowkey employed by them now, but if it ever did he'd 100% have nowhere to go. He'd have to move back with his parents and become a basement dwelling autist. Half the reason the guy can even function in society and enjoys a life where he doesn't have to do hard work like a normal person is because he jumped on that shit early and made something terrible and then never had to get better at it. He's really fucking lucky, but he acts like it was something he got with hard work. The only reason people even know who he is is because of Pokemon, I doubt most of his friends would stay in touch with him without his site. Without Serebii, Joe is nothing. Without Joe, Serebii might actually be better off. But I wouldn't bet on it, and we'll certainly never know.

Given what happened to him in the past Two months - which I unironically sympathize with him since I know what it feels like - he may at one point give his site to someone else and step down or at least have a backseat moderation.
I may severely underestimate his autism power but I have a feeling he will have enough in the coming months or years.
