I think that the designs are fine honestly. What makes them underwhelming is that the forms aren't real upgrades like Giratina's

I think that Origin Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina should have gotten stat buffs, new abilities, and new signature moves to celebrate their remake season.

They look garbage not unsettling or otherworldly. Palkia is just a Centaur where the designer got bored halfway through and decided to submit it as it is without any arms. And Dialga is modeled after an origami animal people tend keep on their desk.

Fishing for (you)s tonight I take it? They are objectively the worst fossil designs ever.
Taking parts of 'mons and splicing them together in such an incredibly abominable incomplete form like they did with the Galar fossils is entire oceans more insufferable than what the complete Unova dragon is hinted to be.
Just because it's fun and quirky doesn't make it justifiable.

Palkia's ability wouldn't affect things like Light Screen, Reflect, or Tailwind so I think that Dialga's ability is still on par with Palkia's. Also, I gave Origin Dialga the more reliable signature move and improved stat spread. Origin Palkia may have a better ability in some cases, but its new signature would do nothing sometimes.

You may be right though. I just wanted to think up something powerful for both of them.
