>>55474851Eh, I think there's some merit here. This is Pokemon so he was never going to take it to Komaeda's level but N is also dangerously stubborn, prone to extreme black and white thinking and fixed in his high-minded ideals. We've been spoiled with post-B2W2 N for so long that I'm quick to forget it takes multiple meetings and a prophesied confrontation against another hero and their dragon for N to change his mind on relations between humans and Pokemon. He's not quite as much of an easily influenced pushover as Ghetsis might like to believe.
That's another thing N has in common with Komaeda, their overwhelming confidence that fortune is on their side. To be fair, I'm a madman who argues it's possible to read BW as N being aware of Ghetsis's true intentions but not caring because he's certain destiny will sort the power struggle out in his favor after the revolution, so perhaps I'm not the most... orthodox source on character interpretation.
N doesn't react to Ghetsis's psychotic raving at all in N's Castle, he's upset he lost his qualifications to be the destined hero who changes the world and bewildered that Alder is willing to reconcile with an ideological enemy because N himself clearly wouldn't. No comment from N on Dennis whatsoever. If nothing else, N and Komaeda are certainly comparable in the sheer volume of words written about them on the internet compared to other characters from their franchises.
