>>55476600Its not weird, those games were made with the bare minimum effort. Didn't even bother updating those old ass Stadium 1 models for Kanto pokemon. There is zero exploration, places are hallways and the story its like half finished. Then sequel its the same game but easier and more sanitized.
People saying "gamefreak wish they could made games this good" are fucking disingenous or just plain stupid. These games were technically a collab, both Gamefreak and Creatures provided them with the pokemon models and the entire battle system. Genius Sonority then just put the context for the games which is very damn scarse
