Seems to be a shorter, quicker version of PTCG, so Duel Links. PTCG Live would be the equivalent of Master Duel.

Masters is surprisingly F2P friendly. You get in-game currency at a frequency where you can easily spark a character every 2 months. I’ve not spend a penny on the game, but gotten 80% of sync pairs and all of the S tier ones. God knows how this game turns a profit.

Plus you get a lot of cute interactions between characters who would otherwise, never interact. It’s the most criminally underrated part of the franchise.

The TCG client has always been exclusive to America but this seems like it will have a JP version. This probably will be set as its own format for digital while paper remains the same and the West keeps Live as a way to boost the value of booster packs(look, you get a free QR code for a free digital pack but not for that NEW app).
