1. The player is basically amnesiac outside of one dialogue prompt and the "easter egg" of Dawn/Lucas learning about the Manaphy quest's requirements in BDSP
2. The Arc Phone serves zero purpose outside of barely copying BoTW. It doesn't do anything generic divine guidance couldn't have filled in for... outside of the Arceus fight where it just turns into the shitty balls you throw at bosses.
Frankly nothing would change in PLA if you were some ballsy immigrant Arceus started bothering mid-boat ride. All you'd lose is the random smartphone (replaceable with a normal fucking map or journal in the menus and "normal" divine guidance) and Jubilife accusing you of being from the spooky rift.... but they could have just kicked you out for being strange or talking to the fucking sky anyways.
