I found the shortest Shiritori in English. (name pokemon such that last letter of one pokemon is the first letter of next pokemon. You stop when you run out of pokemon).
Here it is:
Xerneas -> Steelix -> Xatu -> Unphesant -> toxipex -> xirkitree -> Ekans -> Snorlax (dead end)
If anyone wants to try: find the longest possible shiritori. For the computer scientists, this is a longest-path problem, which is NP-hard. Still, with only N~1000 pokemon, it might be tractable to compute.
