How would you explain the difference between a Legends game and a game like SV?

What are the focuses and goals of each game? What comes to mind with each brand? What does each game do well? Is SV just a step backward, and if so, how?

I only played Legends and am wondering if it's worth picking up SV.

PLA = you vs a hostile environment, focus on the pokemon = pokemon
SV = safe school setting, friend group, character drama, focus on the human characters = tranny garbage and not pokemon
