Could the dude have exercised more caution? Sure. Is this some kind of violent, traumatizing event? Does this even get to the level of spousal (or partner or whatever) rape? Not at all. The two were high, tired, and the guy (himself probably zonked out and barely conscious) tried to initiate sex on his semi-lucid girlfriend, then stopped. This kind of shit happens if you're regularly sharing a bed with someone, even moreso if you regularly get high or drunk or whatever else.
