The game absolutely should be able to handle this better, but this doesn't happen on relatively even terrain or on gradual slopes.

Two of these seem to be complaints about Speed and turn order, which I think is a breath of fresh air. Moves that lower Speed are far more valuable now than they were before, especially in situations where the opponent can't switch out.
