Psychic is a very common monotype that it shares with Cresselia, Alakazam, Musharna, Chimecho, Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf, Deoxys, Espathra, Meowstic, Grumpig, Gothitelle, Necrozma, Reunicilus, Wobuffet, Beheeyem, Mew, and Mewtwo. Out of all of those, Hypno is possibly the least unique. The only way it stands out at all from that crowd is because of its usage in porn. If not for that, Hypno could quite possibly be the most boring Pokemon ever created.
