One is that he was given deliberate misinformation to rat him out as a leaker internally. I think this is the second most likely outcome.
Two, he was fired and didn't have any information after a certain point and made stuff up.
Three, he's telling the truth but external pressures from Nintendo had them push the game back a couple of years because it was dogshit. I think this is the least likely, but it's the one I want to be true, not because of Khu but because I'd like to know there's gonna be more quality control for Pokemon going forward
