Wasn’t Cheren and Bianca battling you with the other two starters enough of a lesson? Why did they waste a whole gym slot, 3 separate gym leaders, 3 separate mon slots, and a lead supporting character in the anime, all just to teach you the Fire-Water-Grass triangle, when kids from 10 years before then could figure it out just fine through battling the gyms naturally?
