More like ruins, the best thing I can say about it is that it tried, even if it failed miserably.

BDSP did more to save the series than PLA, because BDSP plays like gens 1-4 which are the heart and soul of the franchise. it's no wonder the era ended with HEART gold and SOUL silver.
