They MIGHT actually give us a Z Version about 3 to 6 months after Legends ZA comes out if BDSP and Legends Arceus are anything to go by.
If they actually change up the model from remaking the barebones first two entries of a Generation to instead remaking the third entry (in this case they'll be making an entire new game just using XY as a template for most of the Main Game) then odds are GameFreak might bounce back to pre-3DS era quality.

They got bored of doing remakes themselves, that's why they got ILCA to do the last one. A gen 5 remake will happen on the next system that much is obvious but it won't be done by GF.

We'll probably get a compilation this time around instead.
SwSh had trannies defending it tooth and nail because of Marnie tummy despite it being a pair of the worst games on the Switch to sell for retail price.
Then you had the rude awakening that was the awful quality of BDSP followed by the unpolished state of SV that no amount of SwSh trannies could defend, GameFreak is definitely going to need to think twice about making remakes from now on.

LA sold better than BDSP in the same timeframe, which by your logic means BDSP is worse. The fact that a game set up for success in the best sales period possible barely sold better than the one that was sent out to die at a time when people buy the least product says to me that LA is the better selling game, relatively speaking.

Chrono Trigger is still the best JRPG of all time and is excessively linear, cope. If you don't want to play a JRPG, pick another franchise. I'd recommend the Like a Dragon titles, but they also became JRPGs recently so I guess you're a bit out of luck.
