I didn't like it here or in Isle of Armour
I like the Raidons in SV as you spend the whole game with them but don't actually get access to their battle forms until the end, after you've helped it regain its power and overcome that final hurdle

I feel like SV did it the best. You get the legendaries at the start but you can't actually use them in battle since that'd be cheap. It's just a ride until the end of the game.

I don't mind it being part of the plot that you must battle/catch them, but I want at least that much. Ideally I prefer to hunt them down - learning lore about it, eventually getting a clue that will lead me to where it lives, exploring its nest/dungeon and solving a puzzle or two, then battling and catching them. Runners are fine, but at this point it's been overdone with not enough world building leading up to it so unless they end up doing something special with them I'd rather they not do more.

I come in a game with a team already in mind, not part of the team? Into the PC you go, I especially don't like using legendaries unless it's part of the story, so I couldn't give 2 fucks that I got them, flying with them was pretty cool and that is that.
