>>55527120cuts are okay because making a game while also needing to keep up with decades of past Pokemon, moves, abilities, etc. is difficult stuff. The fact that X&Y released and they had to make 3D models and animations for 721 Pokemon? Unique assets for every move? On top of making a story, a new region, new gyms, etc, AND the game has to be good too? It's a lot, and cuts can let devs focus purely on the game at hand without all the daunting past shit.
The problem with cuts is only when the game makes cuts but still doesn't feel like the devs gave a shit about the game.
