The successful ones never mention it and in one case mention them being from our timeline specifically, just from different points. While it's technically possible to just lie the whole time, we have no reason to believe that and the ONLy calling them past and future mons throughout the main story (where they actually succeeded in pulling paradoxes in) is our only actual reliable sources for where they actually came from
Also nothing indicates how old Arven was at the time so there really isn't a contradiction with what we saw in the journals. There are meant implications that you influence the professor to go down the path they did that we saw earlier, like giving them raison's name, the idea for an AI, and the white book (which likely refers to them as past/future mons like everyone else in the main story, making the professor realize to pursue that instead and actually succeed now)
