No retarded grind sessions for every single Pokemon to complete the Pokedex. I liked it at first, but stretching it out for over 200 Pokemon is too retarded. EIther remedy it so only the early game demands it, or offers an option to switch out requirements for 100% completion against a fee.

the thing that makes legends unappealing to me is theres no sense of journey or adventure.

Make it harder. Pokémon clover showed me that the Pokémon battle System acn actually be somewhat fun if you bump up the difficulty of the enemies.

Replace "balms" with grenades you throw at the noble Pokémon. "Balms" are stupid.

Graphical upgrade would be nice.
Schedule for NPC's if its all based in a city. Majoras Mask could do this 24 years ago I have a modicum of faith GameFreak can do it.
More interesting movement options. only rolling and walking is I guess realistic but would be fun to have throwing techniques or something like that.
Let me ride the Pokémon I catch if reasonable to ride. Or just give me a bike instead. Not a fan of random Pokémon spawning out of no where that you don't own.

Just a few thoughts.

I think the idea of a smaller map is to get rid of all the empty barren space in PLA while also improving the graphics a bit, it wont be good but it should be better. They'll make some changes to the battle system and quests but not enough to make it good, they still have to make it distinct enough from the mainline games otherwise they wont have a purpose for being. That means abilities or held items will not be included.

Personally my biggest criticism of PLA is the trivialization of catching multiple of the same Pokemon to progress. It's the same reason I stopped playing Go where you have to catch a bunch of the same Pokemon for in game currency. I only catch Pokemon because I like them not as some prerequisite to ranking up. I hate games that turn Pokemon into currency. I doubt that will change in LPZ.

They need to change how they handle baby mons - either add breeding to the game, or make the baby mons spawn more frequently. I remember being caught off guard by how needlessly hard it was to find a Munchlax/Bonsly/Pichu for dex completion purposes at launch (especially because I hadn't been paying much attention to the ones that spawned during the main game, since I'd just assumed I would be able to eventually breed one from their evolved forms, which were much more frequently encountered).

Minimap, can't believe LA didn't have it.
Since megas are back, add abilities back in as well.
More pokemon, LA had too few at least 300-400.
More trainer battles as well

It'd be great if they included some sort of multiplayer gameplay, especially if they based it on the system from X/Y
It would also be nice if there's more character customization options compared to PLA, that was another thing that X/Y did best out of all the games that included it

Give more Pokemon interaction based missions for the dex
The amount of "watch this pokemon use this move" is stupid have some like witness the Pokemon sleep or maybe more out of battle interactions

Also give us a shit load of sidequests with cool rewards. I wanna see quests where you can get super rare Pokemon or something.

I'm hoping they might drift away from that since PLA was all about "creating the first pokedex", which Z-A doesn't seem to be.
I'd also like to see ride Pokemon, or basically anything like them, completely gone.
If we can't ride OUR Pokemon, than I want a bicycle and nothing else, don't give me a button to summon a random Gogoat ffs.

I cant say I agree. I never got locked behind the Pokedex requirement. If anything it makes completing the dex post game seem more engaging. Plus catching pokemon in the overworld is the most fun it has ever been so it hardly feels like a chore. And the fact that there's several ways to update the Pokedex beyond catching them makes it even more versatile.

One smaller thing is item progression. Only unlocking higher tier versions of the standard/feather/heavy pokeballs was rather disappointing, as were some of the other throwable items that were there to help catch things.

Kalos does have a pokeball factory, as well as a pokeball boutique within Lumiose proper. It's not quite to the degree of Johto and it's variety of apricorns, but there is quite a lot they could justify

whats wrong with the battle style? They're quicker, more action-focused battles. Most are done in 30 seconds, sure there's less setting up and strategy but who gives a fuck about shit like that when there's no comp scene.
