What is the point of megas now that cross-gen evos were brought back? Now instead of a mega patching a weak Pokemon and giving it viability it instead cucks them out of a proper evolution that could've permanently fixed them. You can say it's not confirmed that a mega prevents them from getting a cross-gen evo but I wouldn't count on it.
