They all sound the fucking same. At least the limitations of the GB soundchip forced them to be creative when making the cries of the first 251. Even despite reusing cries between multiple Pokémon, you'd never notice it unless you specifically listened out for it. How many of you know Typhlosion, Steelix and Lugia share the same cry?

The Gen 3 cries all sound like some small random animal screeching for half a second with the same two or three syllables. It wasn't until Gen 4 came around with upgraded hardware that Pokémon cries became good again.
