Sugimori was HEAVILY inspired by Toriyama's work you fucking ghouls. This shouldn't be something controversial

Obivously the styles aren't EXACTLY the but the influence is still felt. For fucks sakes, Pokeballs are very "capsule" inspired which was something featured heavily in Dragon Ball

And yes, specfically monsters comes from Ultraman, but the capsules in that are more like blank pills you don't even really see.
