The Scarlet/Violet Book are legends. It's 200 years old and most people don't believe them. The whole shit with a treasure being at the bottom of the crater is even older, probably existed since humans settled in Paldea.
The professor we meet at the lake said that they are studying Pokémon from alternate timelines, which means parallel dimensions. That's where the Raidons and all other Paradoxes are from.
Ths Terastal phenomenon is caused by Terapagos, the professor's journey in the Zero Lab literally said so.
>We've determined that this energy crystallization is linked to the being we call . The interlocking hexagonal plates that comprise 's shell must somehow cause this phenomenon—which I've dubbed "Terastallizing." The time machine utilised Tera energy, of which obviously Terapagos is the source of. The AI explains how it's powered.
Briar and Kieran call Terapagos the "Treasure of Area Zero". Y'know, like the fucking DLC title.
Terapagos causes all the things in Area Zero and things related to it. I already explained Terastal. We know Terapagos can temporarily transport entities from other timelines because, again, it does so at the Kitakami lake with the professor (who says that they are probably from a timeline not connected to this one. The fact they they gave away their copy of the Scarlet/Violet Book confirms this as the professor in our timeline has not done this). So it's the cause for Paradox mons appearing in AZ.
