The Pokemon community doesn't want to admit that popular Pokemon have their faults as well and only go after unpopular Pokemon as if pointing out the flaws in fan favorite Pokemon is some big blasphemy that will land you in a witch trial.
Is Meganium weak? Unfortunately yes. Sceptile is too but slightly less. The only thing it has above Meganium is 120 Speed, which is beaten by Meowscarada, a Pokemon that has an actual ability in the form of Protean and a movepool that doesn't go against its stats. And let's not forget that Mega Sceptile still remains as a special attacker with a physically-oriented movepool, while having Lighting Rod with a 1/4 resistance to Electric. At least Meganium didn't get cucked out of Leaf Blade.
What I'm saying is that the Pokemon community needs to be put in check with its constant berating of Pokemon like Meganium for being weak while putting other weak Pokemon like Sceptile on a golden pedestal as if it doesn't have glaring flaws either. Why praise one weak Pokemon because it's popular and descend upon an unpopular weak Pokemon for having flaws the popular Pokemon has? Why should Zebstrika be torn apart for being :yet another physical Electric type Pokemon" and Aurorus be crucified for "being weak to everything and what an Ice type Pokemon should be" (with people still thinking it doesn't have Aurora Veil despite having it in gen 8) when Pokemon like Luxray and Aggron are fondly remembered? Dewgong gets shit thrown at it yet Lapras isn't that much better really, other than better bulk and slightly higher attacking stats. Does the community really have its head up its ass that far to the point they just want to shit on unpopular Pokemon for the sake of it, to try and get approval from others? Yes the Pokemon I listed are weak but holy shit the double standards.
