>>55575135Of course. However that's about all they can do. Mods are the ones who can ban and warn, move threads, lock/sticky them, archive them, enable thread/board music, and so on. Jannies exist to hold back the tide of chaos because they have a personal interest in seeing the boards they post on usable to some degree. And janitor actions are accountable, so powertripping jannies don't last very long.
Even this thread is proof of it, it's ostensibly off-topic but only vorefag's posts were deleted. Which means either someone (mods or an anon) set up a report bot on his images to instantly nail him, or a mod deleted/banned him from the report queue, and isn't actively browsing the board. It's also why raid floods tend to last like an hour or two before getting cleared, even with all the threads getting reported.
