It's not even a bad design. Just don't think about it as a swordsman, but rather a bulldozer that spins like a drill while submerged in water.

Agreed OP, Samurott still looks like a murder machine and I'm convinced anons that believe its supposted to be like a japanese swordsman never used one in gen 5 where Gamefreak made its sprite focused on its horn instead
