If Torchic would just get a 2nd Mega, then why not pick a starter without one to begin with?

If you'd just make a regional Mega, then what happens to the OG Mega Blaziken? And again, why not pick another starter without one?

Though I still say its a missed opportunity not doing Legends Unova with a bulkier, American Football version of Cinderace.
Plus, with Scorbunny, only 1 generation repeats (Gen 5). That way, in a sequel, they'd just roll with Tepig so all Gen 5 starters get new forms.
Assuming they pick Snivy, of course.
Also worth mentioning there's still a chance the starters are just the OG Kalos trio with access to Megas.
They didn't do the OG Sinnoh trio again in PLA since BDSP just dropped a few months earlier. That way its not the same pick twice in a row.
Whereas X and Y a decade or so ago was the first time the OG Kalos trio were presented.
