No, the gimmick of Gen 7 was Z-Moves/Z-Ring, that's why megas were relegated to post-game VGC bait.
Otherwise they'd have given the mega gimmick out either with or instead of Z-Moves/Z-Ring. But we all know that didn't happen and only about 1.632m actually unlocked them, so sit down and be quiet, you simpering fuckwit.

How? Gen 7's remake didn't have Z-Moves or the Z-Ring.
The gimmick of ALOLA was Z-Moves/Z-Ring. Not Gen 7. Megas just aren't a gimmick, period.

You say that like you're getting genuinely upset people are calling out your head canon.
If we are to compare megas to something the closest thing would probably be regionals, which makes sense given that when Alolan forms debuted they stopped making new Megas.
