>>55577958>The design looks fine as it is, anything they could do would just be overdesigned trash.Although I agree Mightyena looks line, that doesn't mean that an evolution would be overdesigned.
Pic rel is probably the most tame fanmade evo I've found for it. Got a little bit of "Just gets bigger" syndrome, but looks good and stays quadrupedal (Since I know many REE at the thought of it going bipedal)
>Why doesn't GF just buff shitmons? Just straight up buff them. None of this gimmick nonsense, none of this "oh yeah we randomly found an evo in ancient Sinnoh" rubbish. What's more marketable? Giving a random Pokemon a +100 to BST or giving it either a new form (standard evo or Mega) that also gives a +100 to BST.
Outside of like 20 points to a stat or a change in ability (Which Mightyena's are fine), really huge buffs typically don't happen.
>>55577972You seem very spiteful over Megas.
>It's a balanced game mechanic >noI'd argue Megas are much more balanced in comparison to Dynamax. Only select Pokemon could do it, only one per match, and requires a held item.
Sure, some were far too strong, but others not so much. Looking at them all collectively, I'd say its balanced overall.
Plus, nowadays they've been powercrept by a lot. Crowned Zacian says hello.
>under-valued Pokemon to get the spotlight>there have been more under-valued pokemon that got spotlight without megas than with megas, you just aren’t aware of them because megafags don’t actually play the game and just stare at the flashy new designs.Well if you look at all Pokemon who received direct buffs, Z-Moves, and G-Max forms, yes the total of under-valued Pokemon who got spotlight without Megas outnumber those that did. But that's not a fair comparison.
And I've seen plenty in the competitive community excited for the return of Megas. Some people's favorite Pokemon, both in general and to use in competitive play, are Megas.
