I appreciate that gens 1, 2, and 3 all had methods for duplicating items, which makes TMs reusable and makes money and postgame grinding largely a non-issue.

They are tougher than usual, but not that tough.
>Your in game team is fucking shit
Kricketune is one of the worst mons in the game overall, but it has Sticky Web which makes the league fairly free for stronger teammates.
Plenty of weaker mons can set up on one of the E4 or Cynthia's Mons.
Wormadam-Trash does well against the entire league except Flint, Wormadam-Grass shits on Bertha and Cynthia.
Bibarel is good against most of the league too.
Using any Screen Setter makes it fairly easy to win as well.

Why are you buying vitamins? By the time that's even an option your in game team's EVs are likely already capped due to forced exp share.
They won't be optimal, but you don't need optimal to beat the game when friendship will hard carry you even 10 levels behind the curve.

I am not wasting my time slowly grinding two Larvitars up to be Pupitar and Tyranitar if I don't have to. Nor am I going to run through a second playthrough just to pick up one duplicate TM if I don't have to.

Once the credits roll and I've legitimately cleared all challenges you bet your ass I'm going to look for shortcuts to completing it.
