Probably gonna do so with other Horizons characters later on (likely Roy, Dot and Friede), replacing the 'fateful encounter' stuff from before like Ash-Greninja and all the other anime tie-ins were.
Funny how it becomes a thing AFTER the ashnime wraps up though, given just how many side characters were in that series over the years.
