You act like there aren't people IRL who 'Marry' their pets off to other pets and animals. It is usually more of a joke-y thing, unless it's a specific breeding arrangement, and usually that's some type of harem situation at best, if you need to relate it to human relationship terms.

It's clearly not a wedding just for the sake of an event in the episode. They were actually about to get married and live together.

Exactly. Pokémon have human-level sapience or at least they do in the anime. They just can't talk. They aren't the same as real-life animals, even if there are similarities. That's why it's strange to see a Pokémon almost being forced into an arranged marriage. It even seems like it might be canon that a Trainer can legally force their Pokémon into an arranged marriage with another Trainer's Pokémon. It's not like it's ever mentioned as being illegal.

10 year olds are considered acceptable supervision for them, in the same way a 10 year old could be trusted to babysit their 3 year old younger sibling.

most arranged marriages happen between very young children too. it's not finalized until they're breeding age but you're a fiancée before you can even read.

It doesn't fit in line with the franchise but it fits with some Shudo storylines like how Tentacool and Tentacruel invaded that holiday resort as a kind of revenge and they shunned Pokemon that belong to trainers.

It probably sounds darker than it actually would turn out. By the end of the movie I'm sure that Pokemon and humans would be best friends again before Ash and friends walk into the sunset with a renewed understanding of each other.

This was in gen 2, which introduced breeding.
Pokémon have the highest chance to breed when of the same species and being from different Trainers, just like in the OP image.
Madame Muchmoney says her reason for the wedding is because she feels her Snubbull is lonely. Why didn't she just buy some Poké Balls to catch some more Pokémon then?

Of course, Snubbull was chosen for this episode since it's a dog-like Pokémon. But there's no way this doesn't also happen to other Pokémon too, even if it's not for breeding.

I guess, but I like the more laid-back portrayal of the Pokémon world in recent generations, which can still get somewhat dark sometimes. Pokémon as a franchise has a lot of early-instalment weirdness instances, such as real-life animals existing in the Pokémon world. Besides the idea of Pokémon having some kind of uprising against humans gets more and more ridiculous the more Legendary/Mythical Pokémon are added.
