Cheap way to sell the games quickly and not give people time to think about the purchase because if they buy too late, they will never get the mythical.
Even the few ones I actually managed to get didn't feel deserved because I didn't go on an epic adventure to get them and didn't catch them myself but just got them thrown at me.
And because they usually start at LV 50 or so, you can't realy use them trough the story without breaking the game.
Darkrai probably pisses me off the most simply because he is such an iconic and memorable Pokémon and should really be part of the main gen 4 games. Diancie pissies me off too simply because I think it's a very nice design and they could have used him and Hoopa instead of the KANTOOOOOOOOOOOOO legendaries in XYs postgame.
I legit could skin alife the person who came up with FOMOmons.
Saving grace is that you actually get to obtain most of them in Explorers of Skys postgame and all of them in Super Mystery Dungeons postgame.
