When you check your Pokémon's memories, some of the them can be about their time in Boxes if you keep them boxed often. I always box all Event, Gift, Legendary and any other kind of special Pokémon with the sole exception of my "First Partner" Pokémon. I remember once I checked my Eternatus's memory and it said something about how it was talking with my Event Galarian Ponyta also in the same Box. So Pokémon experience the Box as a place where they can be with other the Pokémon there.
