i got a shiny kantonian leekduck also
my story is pretty crazy too
ok so niantic fucked up and released 3 shiny during an event out of their respective region for a "go fest"
it was ONLY players in a specific region "sun"
i was location spoofing at the time helping some bros in \pgg\ get their vivillon forms
>ALL SHINY that players found outside of the event region were DELETED by nianticthis included, balloon pikachu and one other costume mon
i got to KEEP farfetchd
it was the only shiny that was allowed to be kept by the players
it was 1:500 odds (technically higher as the spawns are v few for the bird)
i traded it to my main account and sent it to HOME
synchronistic luck at the fucking max
i was on a completely different timezone in real life, (working double time graves)
and just happened to be playing during a GLITCH that lasted a few hours at most
AND found a shiny while working on something else entirely
one of my favorite pokemon too
