>if I pick chimchar then Barry will have empoleon even tho infernape fits his fiery personality better
>if I don’t pick chimchar then the fire type options are lame
>if I pick turtwig then Barry will have infernape but then I’ll have too many ground types if I want mamoswine and garchomp and gliscor
>can’t pick piplup because then Barry gets tortera which fits him least
>if I want a new water type not named piplup but also gen 4 then it’s buizel/gastrodon
>but if I pick pelipper for fun drizzle spam then staraptor is redundant.
>never start playing the game bc I keep debating what team I should go with to avoid type redundancies
