Charon would be there and have a more prominent role than in Platinum, having his own branch in team galactic where they use shadow pokemon while the rest of team galactic doesn’t
Underground would let you dig deeper, eventually finding lava lakes with new encounters like Slugma and possibly even brand new pokemon. A new evo for Steelix when it levels up there would be kino, or even Heatran prevos
Would probably work better as a Platinum remake though but HGSS had Crystal elements
Basically I would focus on adding even more stuff to games that are already filled to the brim with content because I don’t think the games really need "fixing" per say, maybe push Fly back a little (like until you have to fly back to the lakes) and give access to Strength earlier so that players can go back from celestic town with it but that’s about it
